BoM Controller

The company:

Williams is one of the world’s leading Formula 1 teams. It exists purely to race in the top echelon of motor racing, where it has been winning Grands Prix for more than three decades. The Williams name has been synonymous with top-level motorsport since the 1960s.

The position:

Williams Grand Prix Engineering is continuing to invest in its planning and project management capability, and we’re excited to announce another role that will be critical to the success of our future F1 car programmes.

We are seeking a high calibre BoM Controller to join our F1 Planning team, reporting to the F1 Programme Manager. If you are passionate about engineering and would flourish in a role requiring attention to detail as well as working with a broad cross-functional team, then we would be interested to hear from you.

Role purpose:

Our F1 operation is built around delivering a series of complex projects to quality, time and budget. Projects range from race specific developments to full car programmes, involving input from a wide range of business functions. The BoM Controller role assists the project team with the part release process, creating and managing parts and assemblies within our systems, communicating with internal stakeholders on any issues arising and resolving problems so that parts transition from design to manufacture in a timely manner. The role is pivotal to the success of our end to end process, giving the successful candidate wide exposure to both the full F1 programme and many of the functions involved in delivering it.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent academic background with a degree in engineering / science / maths or equivalent
• 2+ years working in an engineering or manufacturing business
