Automotive Service Technician / Mechanic

We have a rich history in both motorsports and OEM engineering. Due to growth, we are seeking experienced Automotive Mechanics for Vehicle Systems projects.

Members of the Vehicle Systems Team will process vehicle campaigns per provided work instruction. This project requires working closely with others on a small team comprised of other Automotive Technicians, Engineers, and Material Control Technicians perform campaigns on vehicles daily.

Technicians must be familiar with hands on assembly and disassembly of mechanical and electrical components. Teams will use work instructions, drawings, specs, and/or verbal instructions as well as exercise judgment and experience to plan and accomplish goals. Teams must meet deadlines and document progress.

Technicians must be dependable, time conscious and work efficiently to achieve department goals on daily and weekly basis with minimal supervision. Technician must also be willing to travel as needed.

*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following items:

  • Evaluate vehicles for open recalls.
  • Perform 15-point inspections/diagnostics to determine any service needs.
  • Operate electronic equipment, power tools, and hand tools.
  • Communicate effectively with team members.
  • Perform and document work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy. Do so in accordance with manufacturer and factory standards.
  • Ensure that vehicles are kept clean, undamaged, and without changes to the interior settings.
  • Attend training classes presented by Martin employees.
  • Keep shop area neat and clean and be able to account for all parts and tools at all times.
  • Positive attitude and adhere to all attendance, punctuality, and timekeeping standards.
  • Proficient in assembly and disassembly of mechanical and electrical structures
