Automotive Service Technician / Mechanic

DUTIES

  • Supervise the work of technicians/installers
  • Mentor junior apprentices and coach others to be the best in the field
  • Estimate parts and labour costs
  • Installation of performance parts and maintenance procedures on cars and light trucks
  • Install and balance a variety of passenger and light truck tires, including wheel alignment
  • Perform out of province inspections
  • Maintain automotive service equipment
  • Understand and adhere to safe operation of all equipment
  • Observe all applicable job related safety and health procedures

Qualifications & Experience

  • Truck lifting/lowering, suspension components and airbag/compressor systems
  • Audio/Video upgrades
  • In depth knowledge of and background in technical diagnosis and repair as well as electrical systems
  • Well organized, motivated and ambitious
  • Willing to learn new skills and share experience
  • Flexible schedule and able to work on Saturdays
  • Current and valid driver’s license
  • Can lift up to 100lbs
  • Can perform basic and custom installs in an efficient manner while maintaining the highest level of quality
  • Strong passion for domestic cars an asset
