SUMMARY:

An Xtreme Xperience Fleet Technician is a results-driven team-player who puts safety first, while leveraging honed mechanical & diagnostic skills, along with creative problem-solving talents, to deliver solutions in real-time.The Fleet Technician dedicates their energy and an ownership mentality to serve the Tech. team responsible for preparing, maintaining and monitoring our fleet before, during and after each event.The efforts of the Tech. Department ensure our fleet is safe, reliable and prepared for each event day across our nationwide tour.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Fleet Technician is responsible for sharing the department’s workload, both at the shop (between events) and on tour, as coordinated by the Fleet Operations Manager.This individual must exemplify an inherent ability to thrive in a team-based environment, ability to clearly demonstrate professionalism, organization, communication, humility, hunger and talent.

The Fleet Technician is required to learn and comply with all departmental standard operating procedures (SOP’s), which include event and shop safety standards, handling of assets, execution of workflow, consistent use of checklists, and consistent documentation and communication of project / task status, results and relevant concerns.

The primary scope of this role includes, but is not limited to:

Shop-Based Operations:

  • Routine vehicle maintenance and multi-point inspections.
  • Brakes: Pads, Rotors, Calipers, Hydraulic System
  • Tires: Mount, Balance, Disposal, Rotation, Repairs
  • Fluids: Oil Changes, Brake Flush / Bleed, etc.
  • Vehicle inspection checklists: Pre-event, post-event, at-track, etc.
  • Diagnostics and repairs of mechanical & electrical vehicle systems.
  • Shop Upkeep: Maintain, clean and organize work-spaces, tools and equipment.
  • Data collection & entry
  • Fleetio work-orders, GeoTab vehicle use & performance data, etc.
  • Consumables wear measurements and performance data.
  • Physical inspection / incident documentation
  • Inventories (consumables, tools and equipment)
  • Physical receipt and organization.
  • Purchase order forecasting, order monitoring and digital entry upon receipt.
  • Work-order inventory tracking.

Event-Based Operations:

  • Completion of daily operating inspections, checklists, reports, etc.
  • Planning, scheduling and execution of workloads: AM/PM at-track & post-event.
  • “Hot-track” fleet monitoring, data collection and technician response.
  • Vehicle systems & performance, active faults, driver / passenger feedback, etc.
  • Consumables wear, known-issues, pressures, temps, etc.
  • Real-time problem solving: maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, testing, etc.
  • Data collection, recording, reporting in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Vehicle Issues & Concerns
  • Asset & inventory strategy and adaptation
  • Assess and adapt to real-time data based on fleet operating status, available inventories, vehicle wear, track & weather conditions, drive counts, etc.

General:

  • Maintain healthy working relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure quality and timeliness of 3rdparty support.
  • Serve the vision and mission of Xtreme Xperience and the Operations Department by supporting the standards, objectives and initiatives of the Operations Leadership Team.
  • Derive decisions and actions from a conscious perspective of the company’s pillars: Safety, Consistency, Culture, Customer Service.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This position requires significantweekend-based travel.

  • The employee must frequently lift and /or move more than 70lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Color vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Specialized equipment, machines, or vehicles used: Vehicle Lifts & Jacks, Diagnostic / Vehicle Scan Tools & Equipment, Tire Mount & Balance machines, Supercars, Towing Vehicles, Trailers & Lift-gates, TIG/MIG Welder, Oxy-Acetylene Torch and additional standard Shop Tools & Equipment.

Experience:

  • A.S.E. (A8) Engine Performance: 4 years (Preferred)
  • A.S.E (A6) Electrical/Electronic Systems: 4 years (Preferred)
  • A.S.E. (A4) Suspension & Steering: 4 years (Preferred)
  • A.S.E. (A1) Brakes: 4 years (Preferred)
  • Automotive / Fleet Technician: 6 years (Preferred)
