MARTIN is currently in seeking an Automotive Tech for our Motor Sports business unit.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Efficiently perform work specified to repair or replace damaged or worn parts
  • Diagnose, maintain and repair vehicle automotive systems including the engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Test-drive vehicles, utilize diagnostic tools and special service equipment to evaluate vehicle condition and determine service requirements
  • Basic fabrication to accommodate component fitment
  • Provide input regarding upgrades / modifications to customize vehicles
  • Research system options and components to ensure proper application for build

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years' automotive technician / mechanic experience or equivalent military experience
  • Experience working on vintage classic, prototype, custom vehicles preferred
  • State/ASE certifications preferred
  • Own mechanic tools with rolling toolbox
  • Must be able work individually and in a team environment
  • Good organizational skills

  • Skills to read, comprehend, and execute written procedures
  • Must maintain professional appearance, language, workspace
  • High level of urgency, motivation, and enthusiasm to learn
