Job Description

As a Product Specialist – Service Parts, you will play a key role in managing the Service Parts Portfolio and ensuring execution of strategies.

This position will be expected to collaborate with multiple business divisions within the Welding Segment and be integral in improving the Service Parts business. Some of the duties and responsibilities of this position include:

  • Be the primary contact for all questions related to Service Parts.
  • Conduct comprehensive and detailed analysis under limited supervision for existing parts. Persuasively makes recommendations based on results.
  • Analyze the portfolio and recommend solutions to meet customer commitment and support Miller’s End-of-life (EOL) policy
  • Collaborate with the Accounting and Materials team ensure the right in-stock mix. Review inventory grading report and recommend solutions
  • Create a process to identify low-volume parts and recommend a strategy to manage the portfolio.
  • Prepare and provide ad-hoc analysis to the Marketing – competitive position, product relationships with equipment, benchmarking, etc.
  • Enhance the profitability of the category by:
  • Disciplined utilization of ITW Toolbox processes to strategically manage portfolios, leveraging data to drive decision making
  • Responsible for conducting Pricing and Margin Analysis to ensure continued profitability.
  • Improved profitability through cost reductions, pricing strategies and alternative supplier identification.
  • Represent the Parts team on all New Product Development projects and ensure the right mix of parts are created.
  • Collaborate with other business units on product support for Finished good retirements
  • Pro-actively identify areas of opportunities with our current business processes and implement changes. Apply knowledge of continuous improvement techniques (ex. USA) to improve efficiency processes.
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all business processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing, Engineering or Business.
  • 2-3 years prior experience in Marketing, Engineering and/or Product Development
  • Desire and drive to advance and grow within the organization.
  • Up to 20% Travel
