An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join the Mercedes-Benz Motorsport team.

 

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Financial Manager, this role contains a range of responsibilities including:

  • Preparation of budget and forecasts

  • Preparation of management accounts with variance analysis

  • Review of management accounts with cost centre managers

  • Processing sales invoices

  • Resolving customer queries

  • Maintaining customer master data

  • Analysis to support recharge calculations

  • Preparation of financial statements

  • Calculation of accrued income for month end close

  • Reconciliation of sales ledger, tax accounts and other similar control accounts Supporting the Financial Manager on ad hoc tasks

  • Support the implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency, effectiveness and compliance within the team

  • Document existing policies, procedures and work instructions

Candidate Profile:

  • Part-qualified/qualified Accountant

  • Microsoft office knowledge, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Good accounting knowledge including double entry bookkeeping

  • VAT knowledge

  • Excellent organisational skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • A high level of attention to detail

  • SAP experience (preferable but not essential)
