Assembly Technician

Multimatic is a global automotive supply company providing hardware and engineering services to OEMs around the world. Its UK based engineering division, Multimatic Technical Centre Europe (MTCE), is a leading supplier of engineering and vehicle development services to major automotive OEMs and a growing number of niche vehicle manufacturers. Specialties include suspension systems, vehicle dynamics, carbon fibre structural components, mechanisms and mechatronics.

Location: Multimatic Technical Centre Europe, Thetford, Norfolk, United Kingdom

Scope of Position:

To build production hydraulic assemblies and other components from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble hydraulic components to production specifications using information from GA drawings and procedures.
  • Test production hydraulic units.
  • Assemble brake and steering mechanical components to production specification using information from GA drawings and procedures.
  • Ensure build sign off paperwork is completed.
  • Rework and prepare component parts when required using machining and fabrication equipment.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times.
  • Make self-available to work extra hours to meet production deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Requirements:

  • Machining and fabrication experience would be an advantage.
  • Experience of working with Carbon fibre would be an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Windows.
  • Engineering certification or equivalent.
  • Basic mechanical assembly experience.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.

  • Standard working week 08:00 – 17:00 but flexibility is required to work occasional evenings and weekends when projects dictate.
