An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assembly Assistant who is truly passionate about what they do to join our friendly team at our global Research Centre based in Croydon South on a 6 month contract.
Your role will include:
- Carry out the final assembly and testing of all products.
- Carry out a limited level of fault diagnosis on production failures.
- Responsible for the final quality of the manufactured product.
- Responsible for the timely completion of all production work orders, according to the manufacturing schedule determined by management.
- Perform soldering tasks as required.
- Perform conformal coating tasks as required.
- Perform potting tasks as required.
- Liaise with the Manufacturing Engineer to ensure that products produced are of a high quality standard and produced efficiently.
You will also need to possess the following experience/skills:
- Worked in an electronic manufacturing environment as an assembly worker or supervisor.
- Experienced in repetitive manufacturing of electronic assemblies.
- Fine soldering skills
- Capable of carrying out repetitive tasks while maintaining a consistently high level of workmanship.
- Must have a meticulous approach to the job and a fine eye for detail.
- Capable of reading simple test instruments such as a multimeter and oscilloscopes.
- Quality conscious.
- Capable of working alone and unsupervised.
