Assembler - SPV - 1st Shift

Your Responsibilities

  • Run production equipment, build parts and prototypes.
  • Champion of 6S/cleaning projects on the production floor
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Displays a commitment to excellence with a team oriented attitude.
  • Support Team Leader in completing paperwork and ensuring quality work is being produced
  • Ability to assist Team leader
  • Assembles component parts to specifications in a manner, which is consistent with the company’s quality and productivity standards.
  • Inspect all parts for cosmetic defects and proper assembly.
  • Tag any non-conforming parts with re-work labels and place in re-work bin.
  • Ensure all parts are assembled per specification
  • Performs other duties and assists with project work as assigned by management.

Your Profile

  • The ideal candidate must be able to work in a high performance multidisciplinary environment with tremendous focus on decision making and accountability.
  • Adherence, acceptance and understand of the company core values and Mission Statement is a requirement.
  • The individual must be a US citizen or US person holding a Green Card without restrictions due to export laws.
  • Rating of 3 or better on most recent Performance Appraisal and Good Attendance record and proven team player.
  • Possesses a stable work history, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and a strong personal desire to work safely and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Demonstrates a strong customer focus along with a great work ethic and willingness to do what needs to be done (without taking shortcuts.)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic math, including working with decimals, and strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Possesses a logical method of problem solving and willingness to learn and improve one’s skills.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to meet and exceed customer requirements at all times.
  • Must be able to work required overtime that can be substantial during peak customer production periods.
  • Possesses good hand-eye coordination and is able to perform detailed work with a strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Gains satisfaction from team accomplishments and takes pride in one’s contributions.
  • Sets high expectations and achieves results.
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds, perform repetitious duties and walk or stand for long periods of time on a daily basis.
  • Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
