Job Description:

NASCAR Media Ventures seeks talented professionals for the position of Archive Logger (Part-Time) based in our Charlotte office. The Archive Logger role is an introductory role in the Production Department. The Archive Logger will be trained to do the following: researching, editing, cataloging and organizing content and archiving materials for use by the Library, Production and Production Services departments at NASCAR.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Catalog footage from the field for use in short-turnaround programming and long-term archives using the Reach Engine Media Asset Management System.
  • Determine edit points for clips, add data to describe each shot and research the material to ensure accurate information throughout the NASCAR Media Ventures (NMV) archive and library system.
  • Assist Productions and Production Services by logging and editing content for use in projects and programs.
  • Work efficiently and manage time on multiple projects within given deadlines.
  • Some nights and weekend availability is required.
  • Training will be provided.

Required skills/experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one (1) to three (3) months related experience and/or training in broadcast, new media or journalism is recommended, but not required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient on MSOffice Suite. Any experience with Apple and Mac OS including Adobe Premiere and Prelude is a plus.
  • Attention to detail, the ability to work independently and perform under short deadlines.
  • Typing and spelling proficiency is important for logging information and data.
  • Knowledge of NASCAR, its personalities and history including, but not limited to the Cup Series, XFINITY Series, Truck Series and support series.
