An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Motorsport Applications Engineer to join our friendly team at our global Research Centre based in Croydon South, Melbourne.
The right candidate will have:
- Extensive working knowledge of data acquisition systems and data logging interpretation
- Knowledge of CAN Bus and related systems
- A sound knowledge of automotive electrical applications
The role will include:
- A primary focus on data acquisition and data logging interpretation
- Engine Control Unit (ECU) trouble shooting and diagnostics
- Preparation and maintenance of technical notes and internal documentation
- Workshop tasks including sensor calibration, injector testing and in-vehicle testing of new and existing products
- Providing Dealer and Customer technical and sales support
- May include seminar/webinar presentation
- May include field technical support at either race meets or customer premises (some travel and weekend work involved)
The role also requires the following skills/qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years experience in an applications engineering environment
- Sound knowledge of internal combustion engines
- Electronic engineering background will be highly regarded
- Knowledge of OE systems including ABS, DSC and body electronics will be advantageous
- High level of computer skills will be highly regarded
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Sound analytical, planning and organisational skills with a focus on achieving outcomes
- Excellent attention to detail
