- To be ultimately responsible for applications engineering and technical relationship management in their area of responsibility;
- To be responsible for ensuring his/her teams contribution to opportunity generation and creation of customized value added solutions, supporting the concerned Unit, Managers and the Regional Sales Director in reaching scorecard targets;
- To assure and support Knowledge management within the SKF engineering community;
- To contribute substantially in the development and implementation of customized solutions and other unique offerings and create application engineering proposals and customized solutions according to customer requirements and present to customer in a clear and effective way;
- To be an active management team member within the area of responsibility;
- To actively develop knowledge of technical evolution and trends of business influencing the SKF goals, share it with colleagues and provide feedback to SKF Competence Centres to steer new product/service design and development;
- To be ultimately responsible for the standards, accuracy and professionalism of applications engineering and technical relationship management in their area of responsibility;
- To develop own strategic innovation projects and act like an innovation manager in a holistic way; demonstrating outstanding experience and contribute to profitable growth globally;
- To lead and sponsor multi-discipline or cross functional/international projects;
- To be responsible for staff hiring, training and development, including performance reviews and IDPs for all direct reports;
- To run their operations according to the SKF Code of Conduct, Environment Health & Safety (EHS) and Quality Policies, and work according to the SKF Quality Management System. If the operation is EHS certified, work according to the SKF EHS Management System.
Job Requirements :
- Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent;
- Good coaching skills plus patience to work in different environment and culture;
- Keen to solve customers' problem creatively with unbiased qualified solutions;
- Good knowledge of life cycle management;
- Proficiency in RCFA knowledge;
- Project management knowledge;
- Fluency in English;
- Strong leadership competencies and able to drive change;
- Able to work with demanding technical task;
- Good computer knowledge.
- Minimum 5 years of solid bearing application engineering experience, serving the industrial markets, ideally in heavy industry segment while general machinery segment is also welcome
