Aftersales Specialist

To support our extensive growth, we are looking for an Aftersales Specialist to join our Commercial team within McLaren GT Motorsport.

Purpose of the role:

As Aftersales Specialist, you will be part of a dedicated team providing exceptional Aftersales support to our Motorsport Dealer Network ensuring we deliver a strong set of relationships with new sponsors and technical partners.

Principal accountabilities:

  • Deliver Aftersales services and parts supply to Motorsport Retailers and end users of McLaren motorsport’s GT programmes
  • Liaison with the Automotive Aftersales department and McLarens spare parts logistic partner as required.
  • Identify the spare part requirements for vehicle maintenance though the vehicle life cycle.
  • Maintain the Motorsport spare part bill of materials (M-SBOM) in SAP.
  • Maintain spare part supersession management of the M-SBOM in SAP.
  • Create and manage the communication of technical and spare part related bulletins via the Motorsport online portal.
  • Processes Motorsport Retailers and end users spare part orders and account management.
  • Processing of commercial invoices with direct end user part sales.
  • Liaison with the Motorsport supply chain team for the supply of sub-assembled components into Aftersales supply chain.
  • Prioritise urgent spare part orders, maximising efficiency within the supply chain.
  • Support the day to day running of the Aftersales stores at McLaren Motorsport HQ.
  • Support the delivery of track-side parts supply and coordination to McLaren Motorsports regional providers.
  • Ensure minimum stock levels are maintained at McLaren Motorsport regional providers and logistic centres.
  • Create monthly spare part sales reports.

Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Educated to High School / Colleague GCSE/O Level or Equivalent
  • Fully conversant with modern Vehicle Operating Systems and service and maintenance requirements.  
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project etc.)
  • Conversant with CAD systems an advantage, but not essential.
  • Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous

  • To be available to work outside normal working hours, sometimes on location, and sometimes at short notice as required.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills with a proven record of accomplishment of delivering on time
  • Passionate about sports cars and strong understanding of McLarens history and brand values
