Working in the Aerodynamics Team, the Aerodynamics Group Leader will be responsible for leading the day-to-day Aerodynamic development for key areas of the F1 car, through the CFD and WT development process.

 

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for helping to define, develop and implement the current philosophy for the aerodynamics of the Team’s race cars as directed by the Head of Aerodynamic Development. You will also be tasked with maximising the performance gains of aerodynamic development projects whist focusing on new direction and development at the same time as leading a team of Aerodynamicists.

 

  • The ideal candidate will have a very strong academic background based in fluid dynamics and have will have already achieved a high level of responsibility working within an Aerodynamic Development group. They will be a proven leader and be able to show evidence of consistently delivering aerodynamic performance to a tight timescale. A thorough understanding of Computational Fluid Dynamics, Wind Tunnel testing as well as the current Formula 1 Technical Regulations is essential.

 

  • Weekend working will also be required as part of this role in order to support our Wind Tunnel testing program.
