Though the season-opening NASCAR Cup event garners most of the attention - as well as the largest audience in motorsports - the enormous 480-acre motorsports complex boasts the most diverse schedule of racing on the globe, thus earning it the title of "World Center of Racing." In addition to eight major weekends of racing activity, rarely a week goes by that the Speedway grounds are not used for events that include civic and social gatherings, car shows, photo "shoots," production vehicle testing and police motorcycle training. We are currently looking for motivated and outgoing crew members that will deliver the best experience in sports.
Job Description
Daytona International Speedway seeks part time event workers in the position of ADA Cart Fan Crew. The role of ADA Cart Fan Crew is to assist with transportation of disabled guests via golf carts around the facility from the designated pick-up/drop-off locations.
The position contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of activities at Daytona International Speedway and our ability to deliver consistently high quality service to all guests, particularly those in need of transportation assistance.
ADA Cart Fan Crew is ONLY a seasonal/temporary event based position. Shifts and hours will vary depending on specific event needs.
ADA Shuttle Stop Responsibilities:
- Manage organization and flow of shuttle stop queue line
- Guide cart drivers to loading position
- Efficiently seat guests on carts without exceeding the number of seats available
- Ensure guests are properly seated before notifying the driver to depart
- Be able to communicate with drivers and supervisors via communications radio when necessary
ADA Cart Driver Responsibilities:
- Responsible for inspecting vehicle prior to use each day
- Must follow all Daytona International Speedway driver safety rules
- Must stay on designated path of travel
- Be able to communicate with other drivers and supervisors via communications radio when necessary
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check (valid Driver’s License)
- Must be friendly, enthusiastic, personable, and reliable
- Customer service experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Must learn quickly and be trainable
- Ability to work in a faced paced & high stress environment
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work outside in variable seasonal weather conditions
- Ability to work with others and take direction
- Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as assigned
- Must follow dress code and have a clean, presentable appearance at all times
