Accounts Payable Specialist

QA1 is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist who will be responsible for providing general support to the Accounting/Finance team. Carries out accounting tasks related to the efficient maintenance as well as processing of company accounts payables.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Vouchers all invoices into the enterprise resource planning system by matching the invoices with the purchase orders and receipts, or by obtaining appropriate authorizations and coding the items to the appropriate general ledger account.
  • Enters international inventory receipts my matching corresponding packing slips and commercial invoices to purchase orders.
  • Processes non-PO related invoices from vendors.
  • Resolves invoicing and credit issues with vendors.
  • Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities and schedules and prepares check runs.
  • Reviews employee expense reports and issues payments.
  • Files all credit card receipts from the company credit cards and matches all receipts to the statement monthly.
  • Serves as a backup to Accounts Receivable functions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Two to four years related experience and/or training in Accounting or Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting software, inventory software, internet software, Microsoft Office software, and order processing systems.
  • Accurate and detail oriented.
  • Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Above average math skills.
  • Associate degree (AA/AS) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
