Job Description

NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Account Executive, Event Experience based in our Charlotte, NC office. The Account Executive will be responsible for managing track promoters and NASCAR's event execution and experience. The Account Executive will also be responsible for implementing industry programs and initiatives for various NASCAR stakeholders across multiple series.   Position will be liaison between competition, NASCAR and Tracks. This person must be able to balance multiple responsibilities and can easily collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Work with broadcast partners, track partners, and NASCAR Competition to ensure synchronization of schedules
  • Execute the timing and overall flow of all pre/post-race activities
  • Execute Industry At-Track opportunities/experiences
  • Activation/Support for internal/external race weekend programs for designated official partners and dignitaries
  • Request, approve, and document at-track series branding
  • Plan and coordinate various at track driver/team experiences (autograph sessions, hauler parades, open garage)
  • Coordinate the sanction-required infield advertising elements across all national series
  • Collaborate with various NASCAR Tracks to add value to overall customer experience
  • Participate in development of driver appearance programs that will be impactful and efficient
  • Participate in weekly calls and brainstorming sessions with track personnel
  • Work with other internal departments to assess assets and available resources
  • Create case studies to ensure sharing of best practices
  • Organize recaps for assigned events and initiatives.
  • Approximate travel 50%, including weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and two (2) to five (5) years’ experience and/or training in Marketing, sales promotion, track or event management, agency experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATH SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proficient skills on Company provided hardware and software.  Experience and familiarity with social media.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
