A team of over 500 people are responsible for the complete design, manufacture and testing of Formula 1 Power Units for our works team MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS as well as for Sahara Force India and Williams Martini Racing.

Mercedes-Benz has a rich motorsport history: competing in the first motor race in 1894, in Formula One in 1954 and 1955, returning to supply engines from 1994 onwards and more recently becoming a dominant force with the works team, the modern Silver Arrows. Maintaining such a racing heritage is both a privilege and a responsibility and we take great pride in continuing the tradition.
