Kaulig Racing competes full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and is owned by award-winning entrepreneur Matt Kaulig.
Kaulig founded Kaulig Racing in 2016 and chose to set up the headquarters in Welcome, North Carolina next to the team’s technical alliance partner, Richard Childress Racing. Kaulig Racing is focused on building fast race cars and enhancing the brand awareness of their partners.
Led by General Manager and Crew Chief Chris Rice, Kaulig Racing garnered 10 top-10 finishes in two seasons accompanied by an eleventh-place finish in the 2017 NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoff standings.
For 2018, Ryan Truex, an up-and-coming NASCAR driver whose rich racing history has given him a “leg-up” in his career, joins Kaulig Racing. With 12 top-five finishes, 29 top-10 finishes, and an impressive 9th-place finish in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Playoff standings last year, Truex brings ample knowledge and an intense passion to drive for this season.

Setting the team up for success early on, Kaulig Racing has joined forces with Richard Childress Racing to create a technical alliance, including the use of ECR engines. Over its 46-year history, Richard Childress Racing has become synonymous with success and championships and has made a deep impact on the NASCAR industry. To show, RCR was the first team to win championships in all three major NASCAR series. By partnering with Richard Childress Racing, the technical alliance allows Kaulig Racing to access powerful insights and support.
