Fortec Motorsports Ltd is owned by ex-racing driver and businessman Richard Dutton. Dutton worked for Fortec in 1993 but later bought the outfit in 1995.
The team has become a staple for bringing new talent through the ranks, most recently Robin Frijns who is currently the Sauber F1 team’s reserve driver. Frijins won the 2012 Formula Renault 3.5 Champion in his rookie year, this potential caught the eye of Sauber and he was quickly signed up.
Drivers are encouraged to join Fortec and develop through the ranks, Fortec have the experience and facilities to nurture drivers into Formula 1.
