As a result of an expansion at our Bedford Wind Tunnel facility, we have the following exciting senior position available:
TEAM LEADER, WIND TUNNEL OPERATIONAL SUPPORT
This will involve managing a team of skilled technicians and taking overall control for the operation of our state-of-the-art wind tunnel. This demanding but rewarding role is key to delivering high-quality results to our Aerodynamicists in their quest to deliver more world championships.
A role which suits a highly motivated engineer with extensive experience of Formula 1 or similar wind tunnels, our ideal candidate will be one who can motivate and develop a team of their own. Equally, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate technical understanding as well a proven track-record of problem solving within tight timescales.
Knowledge of the following would be an advantage but are not essential:
- Leica / Polyworks
- MTS Flat Trac Rolling Road
- Servo-Hydraulic control systems
- Motorsport data acquisition systems
- PIV acquisition and processing
Being able to communicate effectively to a variety of people is critical, as is an ability to prioritise work under considerable pressure.
