Vehicle Dynamics Engineer II

Responsibilities include improving the competitiveness of HPD teams through the application of tools & methods. Research, analyze and implement on-track performance gains in racing car configurations, using predictive simulation technologies. Develop simulation tools & methodologies.

Qualifications

Requirements include: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mathematics or equivalent years of experience. 5 years of configuration, operation, and validation of vehicle dynamics software (steady-state lap simulation, dynamic parametric models, multi-body simulations, etc.) Experience with vehicle test rigs: 7-post testing, kinematics & compliance rig, etc. Processing and analysis of time-series data in time, frequency, and spatial domains (visualization, signal processing). Practical Experience with racing car set-up problems and methodologies.

Technical knowledge of vehicle dynamics principles and chassis systems: aerodynamics, suspension, tires, etc. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to identify and resolve routine problems. Strong PC and software knowledge including MS Office. Proven ability to communicate information effectively both verbally and in written form to a wide variety of audiences. Previous experience working in a fast paced, time critical and sensitive environment. Ability instills teamwork and be effective across international, cultural and linguistic boundaries.
