VAVE/Resident Engineering Manager

JAC Products, a leading Global Tier 1 Automotive Supplier, is seeking a VAVE/Resident Engineering Manager to join our fast-paced, growing team in Saline, MI! The VAVE/Resident Engineering Manager leads the corporate warranty function, testing laboratory, and Resident Engineers to achieve target costs savings through VA/VE initiatives. 

Your Contributions:

• Identify cost savings projects through ongoing Value Analysis; follows VA/VE ideas and implementation through to release.
• Implement systems in support of VA/VE and Cost Reduction.
• Lead quarterly VA/VE & Cost Reduction forums.
• Coordinate internal and external resources to implement projects on-time and within budget.
• Maintain PDCA list, update Roadmap and VA/VE Matrix, and hold weekly PDCA calls.
• Communicate project timelines and updated with all stakeholders (colleagues, suppliers, customers).
• Participate in Product Design Reviews; provide insight to minimize cost while meeting performance and appearance requirements.
• Ensure material selection is optimized by providing recommendations and insight to Purchasing, Engineering and Manufacturing.
• Provide guidance to Product Engineers, Engineering Managers, CAD Designers and Test Technicians to ensure efficient new product designs.
• Facilitate development of action plans with key performance metrics for team.
