Technical Support (m/f/d) Customer Motorsport/ Racing

We are looking for a Technical Support (m/f/d) Customer Motorsport to be part of our growing customer motorsport team in Cologne, Germany.

Your tasks:

  • work closely with internal and customer engineers supporting them with engineering tools. (i.e., reports, data processing, race forecasting), general data and electronic systems related matters, documentation and customer facing technical updates

  • support customer teams with specific on event vehicle technical operation and maintenance procedures

  • liaise with internal engineering and series development teams, providing customer feedback on technical issues and concerns

  • document engineering reports from live events and feed information into the wider customer support and engineering departments

  • participate in development tests and racing events

  • based on business needs, liaise with distributors and suppliers

  • respond to customer inquiries and technical problems in a timely and professional manner according to TGR-E processes

  • contribute to evaluate and propose relevant technical developments targeting performance/reliability/serviceability/cost reductions

  • this role includes extensive global travel

 

The successful candidate will:

  • have a bachelor’s/masters’s or diploma studies with a focus on vehicle technology/mechanical engineering or comparable training in the automotive sector, ideally Motorsport

  • show profound experience as technical support in GT3 and GT4 categories

  • have sound English language skills and ideally German or French as a second language

  • have knowledge in the field of data analysis including data analysis software (e.g. Marelli Wintax/Sysma and Bosch Racecon)

  • have knowledge of vehicle networking, electrical and mechanical systems in the vehicle

  • display outstanding overall vehicle understanding

  • show a “customer first” approach with strong interpersonal skills to actively develop and use collaborative relationships in order to achieve results, when required also using appropriate soft skills to reduce tension and resolve conflicts

  • drive for results and show a strong Customer Centricity

  • show strong communication and team skills as well as independent result oriented and structured work

  • have a high willingness to travel

  • be ideally experience in dealing with Japanese culture
