Role Overview

We are looking for a Technical Artist to join our growing team of creative visionaries. You will collaborate with our Creative Director and team to make beautiful visual forms come to life in our creative products. Our ideal candidate is experienced in real-time 3D engines, is inspired to find performant technical solutions to make our experiences art challenges. Your ideal job is being the bridge between the art team and the engineering team, you enjoy writing shaders, creating procedural animations, and finding clever ways of problem solving. You are inspired by the future of mobility and technology, and passionate about creating ground-breaking, futuristic automotive experience. You are a visionary explorer and dedicated craftsperson.

Responsibilities 

  • Script and Develop real-time solutions for our digital products
  • Work with a Creative Director and other team members to polish and finalise the 
  • Produce prototypes and concepts to find elegant solutions to our experience
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers across different teams
  • Gather feedback to iterate and improve the artworks until it is signed off
  • Stay up to date with TA techniques as well as latest trends in automotive, fashion, technology and other related fields

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience as a real-time 3D Technical Artist
  • Experience using graph based tools (visual scripting, Substance, Houdini, etc)
  • Professional experience with writing custom shaders (HLSL, GLSL, etc) and material authoring
  • Experience using Unity or real-time engines in areas related to rendering and graphics
  • Knowledge of 3D asset creation pipeline from DCC to engine (modeling, UV unwrapping, texturing, variants, integration, profiling and optimizations)
  • Experience using scripting languages (C#, Python, MaxScript, etc)
  • Good understanding of 3D graphics and rendering
  • Strong visual design aesthetic and keen eye on details
  • PASSION for innovation, design trends, and technology is required
  • Risk taking in design, pushing past the obvious, and making something you love
  • Must be flexible and adaptable, able to change and alter direction according to changes in projects or business environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently to prioritize duties with minimal supervision in order to meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, professional and a positive attitude
  • A portfolio demonstrating successful tech art solutions
