Systems Engineer

General Summary:

Provide support regarding all on car electronics and the calibration of sensors during race, test and HIL . You will work closely with the software, race & performance engineers ensuring the chassis is built and set-up correctly and to an extremely high standard.

 

Main Responsibilities:

Have an excellent understanding of Data Acquisition Systems (Atlas and Windarab).

Ensure the software and performance engineering systems requirements are met prior to each session.

Monitor and resolve the daily electrical issues as they arise on the chassis.

Work closely with the Tyre Technicians to ensure the TPMS sensors are correctly allocated and functioning prior to each session.

Play an active role in the garage set-up and pack-up of events.

 

Education and Work Experience:

Degree or equivalent in Electronic/Electrical Engineering. Previous experience of working with data logging and telemetry systems in a high level motorsport environment is essential.

Experience in VBA / Python programming would be an advantage.

 

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

Strong communication skills, written and verbal. Strong technical background in racing car electrical and electronic systems. Work to a consistently high standard in stressful and time sensitive situations. Quick decision-making skills whilst working through problems in a scientific and analytical way. Work well in a team environment with personnel at all levels.
