Stress Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity to join and strengthen our Structural Analysis Team for the future.

You will be responsible for structural analysis of components and assemblies (metallic and composite), using finite element methods and hand calculations, to find the most mass-efficient solutions. This role will be involved in a wide variety of analysis projects to support our whole design team in delivering optimum solutions to the track.

The successful applicant will possess an Engineering Degree (min 2:1 grade) and ideally have experience working within a structural analysis team, in an Automotive or similar field.  A good understanding of analysis of composites and metallic materials using a mixture of FEA and hand calculations is expected, along with a strong working knowledge of Altair HyperWorks and Catia V5/V6 (or similar).

You may additionally have experience of wider analysis concepts, such as design optimisation and non-linear analyses (contact, etc).

This is an opportunity to join a group central to maintaining the structural integrity of the F1 car, whilst pushing the limits of what is possible with the available materials and techniques, all within a challenging time frame.
