Staffing Administration Intern, IMS Guest Experience

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Staffing Administration Intern will support the administrative management of the Guest Experience office, while serving as a department liaison for IMS seasonal employees.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:
• Assist in the general office management of the Guest Experience department, including acting as primary representative of the Guest Experience office during event execution
• Assist and lead seasonal employees through the 2020 hiring process by phone, email and in person
• Serve as an HR liaison for the department, ensuring efficiency in all functions of hiring (including recruiting, onboarding, payroll)
• Onboard returning employees and conduct phone interviews of potential new employees
• Assist with implementation of new Hulman & Company payroll and HR system for 2020
• Work closely with IMS Human Resources and Payroll departments
• Provide other administrative and occasional operational support for IMS Guest Experience department
• Resolve and communicate employee or customer service-related issues/concerns
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Education
• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college

Skills/Experience
• Extremely organized and process-oriented
• Willingness and interest to learn the different aspects of a seasonal workforce and event staffing
• Comfort with utilizing and implementing processes for a new HR/payroll system
• Interest in Human Resources, event staffing, and seasonal employee management
• Enthusiasm for and commitment to the company and the Vision, Mission and Values
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
• Innovative thinker and self-starter with perseverance to lead teams to success
• Effective written/verbal communication and advanced computer skills
• Effective interpersonal and leadership skills

Travel/Work Hours
• No travel, however, this position requires working on some weekends as well as evening hours based upon our business needs. Flexibility and adaptability are key skills needed for this role.
• Non-event hours: 25 - 30 hours/week, Monday-Friday
• May hours: 40+ hours/week

• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to see and hear in the normal range with or without correction, and communicate verbally and in written form with great facility and must be able to be understood
• Must have the stamina to work long hours and must be willing to work an irregular schedule, which may include weekends or evenings
