Sound Designer

Motorsport Games is a division of Motorsport Network; it is the home for a team that believes in the power of interactive virtual motor racing and putting people in control of their own motorsports story. We are the destination for the world’s major motorsport series and brands from NASCAR to Le Mans and Formula E. We operate along the entire vertical of development, publishing and competitive esports ecosystem.

As a Sound Designer, you will join our experienced cross-discipline teams working on AAA PC and console titles, where your expertise and enthusiasm will contribute to all aspects of audio within Motorsport Games projects and titles.

Requirements

  • Experience using DAW systems
  • Recording experience – SFX, foley and/or VO
  • Knowledge of audio engines used in games (particularly Wwise and FMOD)
  • Understanding of the technical constraints for audio in games and optimization requirements
  • Previous experience working on one or more shipped game projects on PC or Console
  • Experience using Unreal Engine 4/5
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse team

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the setting of audio objectives, goals, and timelines for projects
  • Record and edit sound effects and VO
  • Implement audio in the game engine and supporting tools
  • Collaborating with other audio team members to create a cohesive audio experience for the end user
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of audio tools and processes
  • Help to reinforce teamwork and a healthy studio culture
