Software Engineer

The Aston Martin era represents the beginning of a new journey for us, but the racer’s attitude and can-do approach remain central pillars in the team’s philosophy. The focus is always on improving performance and delivering results. With fresh investment and energy, the stage is set to build on Aston Martin’s rich history in motorsport and establish Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One™ Team as a competitive force in the years ahead.

To succeed on this mission, the team is looking for talented individuals who share our passion for racing and hunger for competition. It’s a stimulating and rewarding place to work, with pure racing at the core of everything we do. We are building for a strong future and every member of the team will play an important role in our success.

We are looking for a talented Software Engineer to help us deliver new software across the aerodynamics department. The users of our applications are engineers themselves and have an insatiable appetite for new functionality that will help them to continually improve the performance of the race car.

In this role you will be developing full stack software solutions from database to client and will be involved in the full project lifecycle from requirement gathering to production deployment. You may not have direct experience in all these areas yet, but you will be keen to learn and expand your skills and knowledge.

We have a bespoke microservice architecture built on a Microsoft stack with web clients. We are a close-knit software team keen to support and learn from each other. We are looking for someone as motivated as we are by the challenge, scope and quality of the projects on our backlog.

The successful candidate should:

  • Have demonstrable commercial software engineering experience using C# with bonus points for .NET 5/6 and ASP.NET Web API
  • Have some commercial experience of database development, ideally with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Have developed user interfaces, ideally in web clients
  • Be able to demonstrate good software design techniques and practices
  • Have a degree in computer science, engineering or another STEM subject
  • Be flexible, pragmatic and resilient

We strive to be a Team that reflects all the communities with which we engage around the world through diversity in the workplace and promoting an inclusive culture in which all team members are respected, empowered and valued.
