Alpine F1 Team have an excellent opportunity to join our team as a Simulator Test Engineer to join the Vehicle Performance Group.
Simulator Test Engineer – The Role
This position will focus on the supporting the driver-in-the-loop simulator test programme including real time race event support, to produce valuable knowledge and information which will help inform decisions regarding the design, development, and operation of our real-world race cars. You will also help maintain the simulator vehicle model (including checking correlation) and proactively contribute to the development of the methodologies in vehicle performance. You will be adept at problem solving and have a passion for vehicle dynamics and performance.
Simulator Test Engineer – The Person
We are looking for individuals with a first-class degree in a relevant engineering discipline, good general technical engineering knowledge, a strong mathematical background (including mathematical modelling), and experience in vehicle dynamics. You will have at least 3 years professional engineering experience in Formula 1 or another high-level motorsport championship. Experience in the use of Matlab/Simulink and Motorsport data analysis software (Atlas/WinTAX etc) will provide an advantage.
