Series Producer

To help deliver against this global vision we are seeking a Series Producer to join our Live Production team.

 

Based at our Media and Technology Centre in Biggin Hill, you will work as the Series Producer for the International Feed during live
sessions and work on all aspects of Television Production for the Production Team.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Working with the production team and Directors/Producers and attending production
meetings to understand current stories in the sport and prepare and plan for the broadcast.

• Liaise with different departments to produce, create, and distribute content that outline the
main stories.

• Collaborate with Executive Director and Series Producers on all aspects of the International
Feed and make sure Our broadcast reaches its full potential. Introduce new content, develop
special features to include in the International Feed and create new workflows.

• Assist the Executive and Editorial Directors during live Formula One sessions and its
associated support events. Guide the live production as planned and to act appropriately when
stories develop during live sessions.

• Understanding the sport of Formula One and its associated support events and staying up to
date on the seasonal and annual developments in the sport.

• Work over the race weekend at Biggin Hill.

• Train with the existing Editorial Director to learn the role of AP to the Main Director on the
International Feed.

• Occasionally undertake other roles in production for some of our studio productions outside
race weekends.

• Understanding the technical requirements involved in operating in a hi-tech broadcast
environment.

• Staying up to date with developments within the sports broadcasting industry.

• Complete all mandatory training within specified timelines.

• Operate safely at all times in line with company health and safety requirements.

• Undertake other duties within your capabilities as your manager may assign to you from time
to time.

About You

Essential Skills & Experience

 

  • Minimum a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably related to communication & broadcast media.
  • Experience in live sports production and working in production galleries and studios.
  • Translate stories into visuals.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of Formula One and its associated support events.
  • Problem solving skills, ability to think clearly under pressure and react quickly.
  • Highly organized with good time management skills.
  • Willingness to work extra and unsociable hours when required.

 

Desirable

 

  • Experience as an Executive Producer or Series Producer for live sports broadcasts and studio broadcasts.
