General Role Overview:

  • This Senior Project Engineer role will primarily be focused on assisting the Technical Program Manager in delivering the integration of our electrical systems with an emphasis on infotainment, connectivity, powertrain, driver assistance systems, and body electronics.
  • Experience with electrical systems integration is a must.
  • The applicant must have a bias to action delivering results and be able to communicate effectively with cross-collaborative teams. The role requires exceptional organizational skills and consistent communication while building strong working relationships.
  • Outside of daily Integration responsibilities, this Senior Project Engineer will assist in continuously improving current systems and methodologies within the engineering department.

Nature of Work

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with Electrical Systems Integration & Validation team domestically and internationally to successfully drive development for 2022 vehicle launch
  • Work with integration & validation managers to develop and maintain master integration and testing schedule, defining milestones for function integration timing plans and deliverables
  • Manage electrical systems integration Jira projects, identifying early any high-risk issues and proposing mitigation plans; tracking and driving critical issues to resolution
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure cohesive communication between the domains
  • Continuous improvement of reporting systems, processes and engineering methodologies

Job Specification:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or other Engineering discipline
  • 5 years professional experience in electrical engineering, systems engineering, or test engineering
  • Experience working with a wide cross functional team on tight schedules
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to create strong working relationships within cross-functional teams
  • Basic understanding of electro-mechanical and software systems, ideally in an automotive system
  • Proficiency with Jira/Confluence
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced start-up environment

Knowledges, Skills, Abilities, Competencies

  • MS in Electrical Engineering or other Engineering discipline  
  • High proficiency with Jira/Confluence software – understanding of Jira systems structure and strategy in automotive environment
  • Experience with requirements and test management systems such as DOORS or Jama
  • Understanding of automotive of testing environment and software release processes
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Experience with ASPICE and/or ISO 26262 processes

Additional Requirements (if any):

  • Must be willing to travel both domestically, as well as internationally, as required
