The Motorsport Games Publishing team is seeking a SeniorProducer responsible for working with development teams on innovative commercial video game products. The Senior Producer should have experience with internal and external game console development processes, game economies, LiveOps, multi-player games, and have exceptional operational and written/verbal communication skills. They must work well as a member of a team, be highly organized, self-motivated, detail oriented, with the ability to follow through on action plans and ideas.

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include forging strong, successful partnerships with internal teams and external development teams, including day-to-day communication and management, as necessary. It also includes overseeing localization efforts, managing licensor requests and feedback, helping to manage QA efforts internally, and closely tracking submission and approval process with internal and external stakeholders. The Senior Producer will work with the leadership and development teams to create clear schedules, goals, and milestones ensuring they are delivered on-time, on-budget and complete as per the approved Development plan. Production Management:

  • Manage publishing activities and serve as a primary contact to development teams throughout the production process on assigned commercial video game product(s).
  • Track and drive the quality and timely execution of deliverables from our internal and external partners, ensuring feedback from our discipline experts is heard, categorized, and prioritized.
  • Work collaboratively with development staff to help shape product positioning and features.
  • Oversee the high-level production process, stakeholder communication and management of the products assigned.
  • Oversee the review and feedback of milestone submissions for assigned products.
  • Develop strong relationships with development teams to establish and maintain a reliable and timely flow of information and materials to all parties as necessary for assigned projects.
  • Work with developer management to help identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Anticipate risks early and help develop mitigation plans while driving the team towards successful resolution before any risks turn into fires.
  • Schedule and attend meetings; facilitate build reviews and ensure action items are captured and communicated to key stakeholders.
  • Work with partner teams to develop and implement product specific live operations strategies from production to post-launch; oversee the execution of the day-to-day live operations for your games.

Communication:

  • Work across the publishing organization to drive accountability for shaping and maintaining product goals and dates.
  • Build consensus among diverse stakeholders, conveying an appropriate level of detail for each target audience.
  • Coordinate and liaise with all necessary departments and divisions to facilitate execution of projects and materials in a professional manner.
  • Work closely with the appropriate production and other internal MSGM staff to research and identify and/or obtain clearances for all materials needed for the creation of assigned projects.
  • Keep all key stakeholders informed of product status and vision through the preparation and presentation of appropriate project materials (including weekly updates, milestone updates, work-in-progress presentations, etc.)
  • Identify, communicate, and provide transparency on all risks that may prevent teams from meeting schedules, impacting project plans and roadmaps to the appropriate parties for assigned projects.

Strategic Planning:

  • Participate in the creation of product specific franchise plans with a particular focus on preparing for LiveOps release, ongoing live content.
  • Implementation and management of production processes, policies, and procedures on each project.
  • Contribute to the creation and refinement of department best practices and guidelines in partnership with department leads and stakeholders.
  • Mentor production staff/direct reports as needed and provide career growth and development opportunities

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a 100% remote work capacity in a secure and reasonably uninterrupted environment.
  • 5+ years experience in a production management role (development and/or publishing), shipping high-quality video games (console and/or PC) in a live service environment at a publisher or game developer.
  • Game development and/or publishing experience, through an entire game product’s development from Concept to Launch through Live.
  • Familiarity and working knowledge of work productivity and management tools including shared digital workspaces for remote collaboration.
  • Multi-language localization experience
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Deep understanding of game development and project management practices across multiple styles and methodologies with practical experience setting, guiding, and evaluating production processes.
  • Experience with multiplayer games and LiveOps development
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while driving progress towards goals and seeing them through to final resolution in a remote and geographically diverse work setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to successfully interact with varying levels of stakeholders and leadership.
  • Experience managing production management staff including developing roles and responsibilities, setting short and long-term goals, ongoing mentoring/feedback and career growth.

  • Previous experience working with partners & consultants to help bring diverse and inclusive perspectives, as well as representation to game development and video game products.
  • Experience collaborating with global/geographically dispersed creative and technical team members.
  • Experience with GaaS models and Live Operations tools/best practices.

  • Experience with business intelligence and analytics.
  • Experience with domestic and international privacy and regulatory compliance for live game data and online features.
  • Quality Assurance experience with multi-platform live games on console and PC
