Reporting to the Arrow McLaren SP People Director in our Indianapolis location, this position encompasses responsibilities described below.

ROLE SCOPE:

The IndyCar People Advisor is responsible for the execution of talent sourcing, selection, and onboarding priorities. This includes working collaboratively with leaders across the business both in the States and in the UK to obtain approvals and utilize enterprise systems/resources to execute on hiring key talent. This role will work under the direction of the People Director IndyCar, to strategize and activate the Company’s key priorities anticipated to drive growth. This Advisor will manage stakeholder expectations, mitigate risks to project outcomes, and support activities within role scope.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Obtain open position approvals, conduct intake meetings with hiring managers, post openings, craft questionnaires, conduct phone screens, prepare offers, and conduct onboarding for new hires
  • Establish sourcing plan, aligning with DE&I goals to identify key talent for roles, to include platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Motorsport Jobs, and other applications of social media
  • Strategize and build talent pipeline early careers programs such as Race2Hire Vets, Pathway to the Pits, University Programs, and McLaren Engage
  • Maintain HRIS system, keying new hires, updating records, applying approved position changes, and maintaining documents in system
  • Data analytics refinement through ADP and Bob HRIS dashboarding systems
  • Support roll-out of performance management, pulse surveys, exit interviews, policy updates, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Coordinate with and maintain records for vendors that support background checks, benefits programs, rewards programs
  • Conduct employment file and i-9 audits, and automate/simplify filing systems where possible
  • Obtain documentation, research, and create files for work Visa applications supporting company attorneys
  • Assist Director with managing calendar, scheduling meetings, ordering catering/supplies, and other duties
  • Meeting planning, building agendas, and event coordination
  • Support Summer intern programming, planning, and execution of development
  • Work with multiple departments such as competition, operations, commercial, and the People team across Arrow McLaren SP and McLaren Racing in the UK
  • May be asked to back-up front-desk coverage, or support; race operations, credentialing, suite assistance, or any other number of trackside support functions where available to do so

JOB REQUIREMENTS

YOUR STORY:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education required
  • 2+ years of administrative human resources support, recruitment, generalist experience or equivalent
  • Track record of getting things done and proven experience to lead a project from start to finish
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Advanced Ms Office 365, Intermediate PowerPoint ideal
  • Previous experience working in an HRIS and ATS systems
  • Experience in motorsport, passion for sports, or background in sports will make a well-suited fit for environment
  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management
  • Flex scheduling work option available upon request
