About The Role

Our key to success is an organisation that values passion, integrity, and respect. To help deliver against this global vision we are seeking a Senior Mechanical Technician to join the Mechanical Engineering & Design team based at our Media & Technology Centre in Biggin Hill.
In this role you will be required to inspect, support, modify, assemble, maintain and repair all mechanical aspects of F1 equipment in the UK and at events. This will consist of heavy race support and is a core travelling role.
The role:

Understand and produce high quality products from mechanical drawings provided

Travel to events abroad as Maintenance Technician

Rig and de-rig mechanical equipment and structures as required

Support and feedback into the drawing office and assist in development of prototypes

Basic air-con, fault detection and repair

Create and maintain service schedules

About You
A proactive and versatile individual, who has proven experience in a Mechanical Engineering environment.
You have:
-
A recognized qualification, NVQ 3, BTEC level 3 or degree in a mechanical engineering environment

Excellent computer literacy

Basic Air-conditioning fault diagnosing and servicing ability

Ability to TIG weld aluminium and stainless steel
-
Ability to read and understand mechanical layout and engineering drawings
-
Ability to diagnose and rectify mechanical faults and willingness to undertake repair work

Be experienced using a variety of power hand tools
-
Good understanding milling and turning techniques and procedures
Desirable:
-
Qualified to operate Forklift and Merlot, Cherry Picker and Scissor Lift
