We are currently seeking for Senior Mechanical Design Engineers (m/f/d). The successful candidates will be responsible for design projects and related documentation of various components and assemblies. You will undertake 2D-layouts, calculations, 3D design and development and design of sub-assemblies. The roles may also include definition of rig tests. Working closely as part of a team of designers, you will be in charge of producing designs (including the respective tooling) and drawings as well as providing full documentation in English. An essential part of the functions is to ensure on-time delivery of projects within agreed cost limits. We are looking for the following specialists who have experience in design of gearbox, drive train components, suspension design and the Integration design considering following areas: engine cooling, fuel system, hydraulics, pneumatics, Roll cages, sub frames and dashboard.
The successful candidates will:
- have a degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or equivalent
- have very good design skills in conjunction with good knowledge of state-of-the-art technology and materials
- display high level knowledge and relevant experience in motorsport parts layout and the design of high performance components in the area of e.g. F1, WEC, WRC or DTM, GT3, GT4
- Have interest in supporting our automotive engineering prototype projects as well
- be proficient with CATIA V5: solids, surfaces & drafting, FEM and the classical calculation methods, data management systems (Teamcenter) and MS Office
- be a team player who demonstrates a responsible, analytical and creative working style with solid project management capabilities, good interpersonal skills and a flexible approach to working hours as well as the ability to deliver high quality to tight deadlines
