Senior Electrical Integration Engineer

Williams Advanced Engineering are currently recruiting for a Senior Electrical Integration Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Principal Engineer – Systems Integration, this is a key role where the successful individual will be responsible for integrating customer, proprietary and bespoke electrical systems and components to achieve vehicle targets.

Duties will be wide ranging and varied and will include analysis and specification of system requirements including the communication, functionality and physical elements of the system. You will be responsible for the designing and developing of electrical and electronic systems for vehicle programme applications, undertaking hazard analysis, risk management and DFMEA for components and systems as required.

In this role the successful candidate will generate system architecture diagrams and circuit drawings to support electrical design activity, considering the use of alternative materials and technologies in pursuit of the optimal design for cost, weight and performance. You will assist with the build and fault-finding of the projects, supporting virtual and physical builds for components and vehicles.

Through appropriately considered and documented processes the Senior Engineer will develop system architecture proposals and definitions. You will be responsible for the management of suppliers delivering components or systems to a project, preparing and presenting of reports for internal and external audiences. Supporting technical and project reviews with the customer, representing Williams Advanced Engineering, as required.
The Senior Engineer will ensure that the electrical design adheres to low voltage, high voltage, high current and EMC best practices and be able to deliver EDS schematic and physical designs.

In conjunction with the Principal Engineer you will Supervise and develop the junior members of the team and maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers and all other departments at all times.

With a degree or equivalent in an Engineering discipline, the successful candidate will already have some recent experience working within electrical integration within the automotive or autosport industries you will have a working knowledge of electric vehicles, vector tools including CANalyser and charging systems.
