Job Description:

NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Senior Director, Staffing and Talent Acquisition based in our Charlotte, North Carolina office.

This person is responsible for the strategic direction and execution of the company’s staffing and talent acquisition function, as well as actively engaging in the recruiting process for key positions. This senior level leader within Human Resources is expected to bring new ways of thinking and constantly keep the company’s talent acquisition process both in compliance with laws and regulations, as well as enacting cutting edge approaches to sourcing and onboarding talent. The person should be committed to diversity and inclusion and demonstrate this commitment throughout the area they lead.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Providing leadership, management and direction to the recruiting team, ensuring that all facets of the process are handled in a legally compliant and consistent manner.
  • Serve as the leader for working with management in assessing staffing needs and working with the recruiters to develop effective recruiting strategies.
  • Responsible for providing steady focus on the company's employment brand to include developing, maintaining and refreshing the company's recruiting related communication vehicles i.e. job postings, careers website, social media channels, etc.
  • Actively study internal and external employment and recruiting trends and build out plan to ensure the company aligns with such trends.
  • Act as a full-cycle recruiter on a variety of positions.
  • Actively seek and utilized candidate sources that will aid in supporting the Company’s diversity initiatives.
  • Responsible for maintaining workplace metrics related to candidate sourcing, hiring, turnover, etc.
  • Responsible for compliance with all internal and external regulations concerning the recruitment and selection process. Including ensuring job descriptions are accurate and up to date with particular attention given to FLSA compliance.
  • In partnership with the multicultural development team, provide leadership and guidance for the Diversity Internship Program sourcing and selection processes.

Required skills / experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8 years’ related Human Resources experience in recruiting.
  • Exceptional team and interpersonal skills

  • Self-motivated, positive attitude

  • Ability to travel 5 % including some weekends
