NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Senior Analyst, Customer Journey based in Daytona Beach, FL.

The Senior Analyst, Customer Journey works within the audience creation wing for the Data Strategy Department and its affiliated Platforms (NASCAR Data Warehouse, Motorsports Consumer Data Platform, Tickets.com, etc.).  The Senior Analyst defines, creates, deploys, and manages segments across a variety of internal and external marketing partners. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Media, & Consumer Behavior teams to define and deploy segments that enhance consumer journeys to support sales initiatives, merchandise, and other marketing efforts across a variety of channels
  • Drive customer segmentation and audience creation, own consumer database segmentation, & influence business partners on segment definition
  • Be a key advocate for 1st party data segmentation that spans paid and owned media channels
  • Collaborate with data science resources to further develop and enhance our segmentation capabilities
  • Partner with marketing stakeholders to create a unified segmentation framework that can be leveraged as targeted media audiences across multiple touchpoints
  • Define, refine, create, deploy, and manage 1st party audiences across a variety of digital and traditional media and marketing touchpoints
  • Lead the exploration of new segmentation strategies/techniques to uncover new consumer insights
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures and standards relating to database management including ensuring full data integrity and monitoring transaction activity
  • Work with privacy team to ensure audience creation and deployment is aligned with internal policies and controls
  • Travel: 5%, including weekends

Required skills / experience:               

  • Bachelor's degree from four (4) year college or university required plus a minimum of four (4) years of data operations experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3+ years of professional experience in consumer segmentation or media targeting                                        
  • Proficient on all company provided hardware and software with experience in mobile technologies.  Emphasis on data technologies including Excel, Tableau, SQL, Adobe, FlyWheel, or similar data visualization, mining and segmentation tools.                                 
  • Ability to make decisions and move to action with a hands-on approach
  • Ability to work in a matrixed environment that requires consensus building
  • Ability to refine vague requests into clear data objectives
  • Business-minded strategic thinker
  • Aptitude for leading a cross-functional team in a complex environment
  • Acumen in providing high-level digital counsel to senior management
  • Proficiency with database languages (SQL), and experience with extraction and manipulation of both structured and unstructured data
  • Experience deploying 1st party audiences across a variety of touchpoints such as Facebook, Google, Email, Direct Mail, and Direct Outbound
  • Working knowledge of GDPR, CCPA and general data privacy best practices
  • Curiosity and self-motivation to continuously explore consumer database for new insights and enhancements to segmentation strategy
