POSITION SUMMARY:

With the Security Supervisor, is responsible for providing safety and security measures within IMS properties

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

• Notification to the Security Supervisor of any issues, problems or concerns related to IMS safety and security
• Patrol buildings and grounds on the properties
• Examine doors, windows and gates to ensure they are secure
• Maintain security log record and submit daily to Security Supervisor
• Inform violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying prohibited items
• Notify law enforcement of individuals engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
• Monitor and report irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, etc. and unsecured doors
• Respond to CSC alarms when notified. Contact appropriate public safety agency if applicable.
• Maintain security at all gates
• Provide information regarding incidents such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment
• Open gates, buildings and elevators to allow entrance or exit of employees, delivery trucks and authorized visitors
• Prepare necessary incident reports and submit to the Security Supervisor at the end of the shift or as directed
• Assist authorized visitors to appropriate grounds location
• Monitor outgoing personnel and vehicles to prevent unauthorized removal of company property or products
• Provide security for the Administration Building during non-business days and hours.
• Monitor the employee parking lot arm gate.
• Responsible for assisting the Security Supervisor with additional projects as necessary
• Maintain enthusiasm for and commitment to the corporation; while following the Vision, Mission and Values guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned by the Security Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

Supervisory Responsibilities
• No supervisory responsibilities

Education
• High school graduate or GED

Skills/Experience
• Minimum 1-year experience in security related field or equivalent experience
• Valid driver’s license required
• High integrity
• Strong people skills
• Ability to problem solve
• Effective communication skills

Travel/Work Hours
• This position involves some fixed shifts, rotating shifts, along with evening and overnight shifts. Schedules are subject to change based on the various event(s).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Physical demands are light, consisting primarily of sitting, standing and walking.
• Must be able to see and hear in the normal range with or without correction and communicate both verbally and written with great facility and must be able to be understood.
• Must have the stamina to work long hours and must be willing to work an irregular schedule, which may include weekends or evenings.

• Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments.
• At times the incumbent will be isolated from other workers. There will also be times the incumbent works in close proximity to others and will be faced with frequent interruptions.
• Work outdoors requires physical strength and stamina to endure extreme heat, cold, rain, dust and other conditions.
• The noise level in the work environment can be loud, due to professional racing event.
