Senior Stress Engineer

The Senior Stress Engineer will ensure that structural car components are effectively compliant to the design specifications provided by the technical management. In this role you will be directly involved in car part design and bench testing.

  • DEVELOPMENT OF ASSIGNED CAR PARTS

  • WORK WITH METHODOLOGY PROJECT LEADER ENSURING CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT OF THE CALCULATION METHODS CURRENTLY USED FOR THE SIZING OF CAR COMPONENTS

  • CREATE TEST PROCEDURES AND FOLLOW UP THE TEST EXECUTION ALONGSIDE THE R&D TESTING DEPARTMENT

  • SUPPORT THE TEAM LEADER FOR THE CREATION AND MANAGEMENT OF DOCUMENT RELATED TO TRACK SUPPORT AND DESIGN LOAD DEFINITION.

  • EXECUTE THE WEEKLY AND DAILY TASKS, PROVIDING FEEDBACK RELATED TO THE MILESTONE OF HIS WORK STATUS

  • MAINTAIN AND DEVELOP GOOD RELATIONSHIPS WITH ALL THE OTHER DEPARTMENT

  • Provide flexible attendance and attitude to work, both in line with the requirements of the role and any specific requirements of the projects respecting timeframes

 

EXPERIENCE

Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:

 

  • Previous engineering experience in F1
  • Strong, broad understanding of carbon and metal structures
  • Strong knowledge of theory behind FEA
  • Excellent usage and knowledge of FE pre/processing (Altair Hypermesh/Optistruct, Abaqus).
  • Previous knowledge of Siemens-NX is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of current manufacturing processes and material science
  • Ability to work with the team, external suppliers and colleagues
  • Extensive stress analysis experience at a senior level
  • Initiative, proactive and Innovation
  • Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering master’s degree
  • Fluency in English
