Sales/General Manager

Since 2005, Bill Shepherd Mustang has been offering its extensive range of clients a personal import service for new Mustangs and Shelby GT500’s, stocking a range of ’05 up pre-owned Mustangs and an ever growing selection of the best Classic Mustangs from the ‘64 to ‘70 period and its own re-engineered New Classic Mustang line, plus Cobras/GT40 exotica.

A superb opportunity for an experienced and self-motivated Sales/General Manager to join this independent high performance and classic vehicles specialist to develop the business to its next stage.

You must have a provable successful sales history and experience in a prestige marque. This is a varied, hands-on, role so a positive, can do, attitude is a must.

  • Good sales success.
  • Good contact base in classic/prestige/high performance vehicles.
  • Enthusiastic and interested in Mustangs, Cobras and classic cars or specialist American vehicles.
  • Reasonable technical knowledge – mechanics, upgrades etc – understands cars.
  • Experience in planning and implementing marketing campaigns in specialist media. 
  • Experience with using social media and internet marketing.
  • Can manage and update website.
  • Good computer and IT skills.
  • Presentable, personable and likeable. 
  • Prepared to roll up sleeves and work, e.g. prepare cars for resale, set up shows, etc.
  • Strong work ethic and “can do” attitude.
  • Experience of managing and motivating staff.
  • Experience in running a small vehicle sales/service operation/or own business. 
  • Loyalty and honesty – must be trustworthy.
  • Good health and fit. 
  • Interest in racing – cars!
  • Lives the business and lifestyle.
  • Experience buying in classics/used vehicles for re-sale.
  • Experience with importing and registering new cars – as a specialist dealer.
