Sales Assistant

The role of a Sales Assistant is an interesting, varied, and at times challenging. You will be a key player in a small team, working with the Sales & Events Director, to provide administration support.

Buckmore Park has a one-team approach so, although you will be working in the Sales Department, there may be times when you may be asked to help out in other areas to ensure that customer service is never compromised.

Duties

A Sales Assistant will work effectively with the whole of the Buckmore Park team, but mainly to provide customer service assistance and administrative support in the Sales Department, this includes but is not limited to:

  • Providing excellent customer service when answering the telephone/or face to face helping customers with their enquiries
  • Replying to inbound emails
  • Creating events on HQ - keeping notes up to date
  • Email client booking confirmations
  • Outbound emails to previous small groups regarding future bookings
  • Handling Cash/taking payments - cashing up
  • General Admin duties
  • Assist on Family Days (if required)
  • Communicate effectively with all departments
  • Ensure strict adherence to all policies and procedures

Person Specification

A Sales Assistant will need to have certain qualities to be able to maintain and continue to deliver the high standards set out and expected of an Buckmore Park employee, these include but not limited to:

  • Use own initiative
  • Strong communication skills, over email, phone and face to face
  • Be able to deliver excellent customer service
  • Be polite and well mannered all at times
  • Maintain a happy and jolly persona
  • Be confident in communicating with all types of people in a manner of different scenarios
  • Be well presented and have excellent time keeping.
  • Be able to work to tight deadlines
  • Understands our customers’ needs and goes that extra mile to achieve customer
  • Upholds ethics and values
  • Flexibility and willingness to accept a wide range of tasks
  • Quick learner with the ability to retain knowledge

Essential Criteria

  • Good standard of literacy and numerical skills
  • Good standard of IT
  • Previous experience
  • Full UK driving licence (due to location)

Desirable Criteria

  • Interest in Motorsports
  • Previous experience in the hospitality/leisure industry

Contract Information and how to apply

This is a 24hr contract working on Monday, Friday and Saturday incl. Bank Holidays (9am - 5.30pm). Hourly rate range is from £6.50 - £8.50.
