At the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, a group of passionate and determined people work to design, develop, manufacture and race the cars driven by seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton and rising star George Russell.  

The Team has set a new benchmark for Formula One success during the sport’s current Hybrid era, winning consecutive Drivers’ and Constructors’ World Championships in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, and the Constructors’ Championship in 2021. 

The Reward Advisor will support the Reward Partner in the delivery of an efficient and effective Reward service to employees, managers, and the wider HR Function. The Reward Advisor would be the second line contact on all Reward related questions from the HR Services Team. 

 

The role:  

As our Reward Advisor your responsibilities will include:

Supporting on all compensation and benefit matters in consultation with the Reward Partner. Including but not limited to: 

  • Ensuring compliance with all Company Reward policies. 

  • Conducting annual Company benefit tenders and renewals in conjunction with external brokers. 

  • Ensuring the Annual Salary Review runs smoothly and efficiently. 

  • To ensure that appropriate reward surveys are completed in a timely manner. 

  • To update and maintain the Company web pages relating to reward and recognition. 

  • To carry out other duties appropriate to the grading and evaluation of internal roles. 

  • To investigate opportunities for continuous improvement to the Reward offering of the Team including the researching of new benefits and the improvement in efficiency of current offerings. 

 

Providing effective administrative processes to support and ensure the continuation of a variety of compensation schemes. This will include liaising with the HRBP team and senior stakeholders within the Company to monitor and re-introduce recurring benefits for future years (e.g., Supplements, Bonus Schemes).  

 

Providing support to the Reward Partner preparing for regular company committee meetings such as the Compensation Committee. 

 

Acting as the second line of support to the HR Services Team in relation to all compensation, and flexible benefits as well as to advise on all compensation and benefit topics. Including but not limited to: 

  • Investigating and resolving complicated employee reward issues, queries, and complaints. 

  • To develop effective relationships with benefit providers and produce monthly management information for Team Meetings. 

  • To maintain and develop effective relationships with payroll and accounts payable to ensure that accurate monthly reconciliations are undertaken. 

 

Supporting on legislative reporting (e.g., Gender Pay Gap, Ethnic Pay Gap) with guidance and support from the Reward Partner and Head of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.   

 

To support the employee Long Service Awards process from start to finish in order to ensure an excellent Employee Experience. This includes agreeing and purchasing of awards/gifts and running of the events in conjunction with the Internal Events Manager. 

What we are looking for:  

  • Strong analytical and presentation skills; can manipulate data into meaningful information, using tables, graphs, and other informative graphics. 

  • Sound knowledge and application of UK employment law. 

  • Organisation – it is crucial that the candidate has proven ability to prioritise their time, managing a range of projects and initiatives to completion simultaneously.  

  • Experience working in a professional HR environment on Reward related topics.  

  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills. Both verbal and written is essential. 

  • Willing to bring forward new ideas to the table and make change happen. 

  • Ability to work with strong attention to detail and high standards, whilst still working at pace. 

  • Intuitive, proactive, and self-reliant with the willingness to go the extra mile. 

  • Degree in a related discipline and CIPD level 5 (or higher) preferred.
