We have a new opportunity to be part of the Race Team in the role of Parts Co-Ordinator.

 

Purpose

  • To actively contribute to the Team’s primary objective of consistently being a top three team in the FIA Constructor’s Championship
  • To manage trackside inventory control
  • To manage trackside component allocations in line with component life requirements
  • To accurately produce race team inventory requests
  • To manage all parts returns from the track to the factory
  • To assist Chief Mechanic and trackside NDT in damage reporting and work requests
  • Ensure Driver kit is available and to correct spec
  • To manage trackside clothing stock control
  • To manage technical clothing requirements
  • To actively participate in Pit stops as allocated
  • To travel to all race and test events required

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • To work proactively, responsibly, and professionally always to respect and comply with the company’s reporting structure
  • To ensure trackside parts inventory is managed and available as required
  • To ensure parts are issued to reflect the associated allocations in line with component life requirements
  • To manage component allocations and record component allocation changes trackside
  • To assist in the development of the company’s inventory management systems
  • To produce trackside shortage reports from event to event based on parts usage and stock quantities
  • To ensure all trackside returns requests are fulfilled and manage trackside to factory returns shipments
  • To assist Chief Mechanic and trackside NDT with damaged parts recording to action new orders or work required to parts
  • To ensure driver technical kit is approved for use and available when required
  • To ensure the correct team clothing is available at the track and keep updated on team personnel sizes and changes required
  • To ensure sufficient levels of race team PPE are available trackside from event to event
  • To actively participate in Pit stops as allocated and ensure all training requests are adhered to.
  • To attend and proactively participate in build meetings as required
  • To assist the RT Logistics Manager and ensure shipping requirements are requested and within budget.
  • To maintain and develop skill levels to industry standard

 

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • Possess an excellent working knowledge of inventory control and have experience in its associated software systems
  • Possess a thorough understanding of freight control and all Race Team requirements pre, post and during events
  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of allocations, technical drawings, and schedules
  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of inventory management software systems
  • Previous experience as parts / stock control or similar in a Formula One environment / high level Motorsport environment
  • Ability to demonstrate good working relationships with internal departments and outside suppliers
  • To be available to travel as and when required to fulfil the requirements of a race team parts co-ordinator
  • To be self-motivated and to motivate others to thrive in a challenging environment
  • Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets, and deliver results within required timescales
  • Ability to demonstrate strong written and oral communication and organisational skills
  • Possess an innovative and flexible approach to creative problem solving and possess the ability to work through challenges in a scientific and analytical manner

You will have some familiarity with aspects of our tech stack, but we are excited to hear about your experience and the creative flair that you can bring to the team.

Applicants will be considered from all levels of experience, provided they are able to demonstrate the requisite skills. No prior motorsport experience is necessary.
