An exciting opportunity exists for a Race Team Freight Assistant to join our Race Team.

Purpose

To work as part of a team in equipment preparation, maintenance, and transportation, driving duties including LGV, garage support for set up, derig and events as required.

Primary Responsibilities

  • To look after our complete sea freight operation, assist with both road and air freight to events, including preparation of customs documents, invoices, and DG.
  • To prepare and maintain the equipment, flight cases, consumables which are transported by road, sea and air to events as required.
  • To provide event cover for absentee garage roles or where additional personnel are required.
  • To effectively communicate with all required departments and suppliers to achieve the above..
  • To drive Company vehicles as required in a safe and professional manner.
  • To attain and maintain personal licence required for the role.
  • To behave professionally always whilst representing the Company in carrying out the duties of the role.
  • To undertake any other general duties as required

Skills and Knowledge Required

  • Previous experience in motorsport environment with logistics.
  • To possess and maintain a clean LGV C+E licence.
  • Confident in forklift use and safety.
  • Ability to demonstrate good verbal communication skills
  • Good knowledge Excel for customs invoicing.
  • Ability to confidently and calmy work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results.
  • Be organised and able to have an innovative approach to problem solving.
  • Possess a flexible and willing attitude
  • Be versatile and enthusiastic
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a changing environment and to build good working relationships with colleagues and third parties.
  • Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of, and commitment to, Health and Safety.

Location

The role will be based at the factory at Silverstone/Silverstone Unit, however there will be travel to both race and test events as required.
