Race Support Team Senior Garage Technician

Within our facility in Enstone, we are looking to hire the most talented individuals to support our mission. As part of this team, we are looking for a Senior Garage Technician to join our Race Support Team.

Race Support Team Senior Garage Technician – The Role

Reporting to the Race Support Team Manager, this role will lead the garage technicians to support test and show car events.

Key areas of responsibility will include, but not restricted to:
• Ensuring the trucks are packed for each event to a planned truck loading plan
• Ensuring the trucks are serviced working alongside the Transport Manager
• Ensure all consumables are loaded and stock checked
• Ensuring the correct number of boxes attend all Flyaway events with an up to date invoice/ manifest/packing list (Liaising with the Team Manager)
• Ensure the flight cases are in a good working order, serviced
• Ensure the trucks logistics are organised in a timely manner with the transport department
• Ensure a garage set up plan for each event (Liaise with the Team Manager/Chief Mechanic)
• Liaising with the Team Manager / Chief Mechanic / Engineer on all tires / fuel requirements.
• Ensuring the RST garage technician area is kept in a clean/organised area
• Ensure the RST long term Storage area is kept organised / clean tidy state
• Attend/support the race team at various F1 tests and Grand Prix if required
• Working to pre-given timelines while at RST events/tests/factory build
• Liaise with the Team Manager on driver days/working hours for agency drivers

The successful candidate must possess the following attributes:
• Leadership qualities to lead other garage technicians
• Be self-motivated, proactive and enthusiastic
• Can demonstrate a methodical approach to work, with very good attention to detail and good numerical competence
• Can prioritise workloads to meet tight deadlines, with a flexible approach to both hours and job description
• Become a dependable team player who can interact and communicate with other departments, as well as work independently when required
