We have a new opportunity to be part of the Trackside Performance team in the role of Race Engineer.
In this role you will be required to:
- Take responsibility for the operation and optimisation of one of our Formula One race cars at race and test events; leading the group of engineers focussed on maximising performance.
- Have a flexible, rigorous, and constructive approach to analysis and problem solving as this role will require extensive hours both at the track and from Mission Control when facilitating the rotation of Race Engineers across the season.
- Significantly and actively contribute to the development of Performance Engineering within the group, with particular focus on optimisation of the car setup, integration of control systems and data-driven analysis.
- Lead the development of the wider engineering function, striving for continual improvement of our methods and practices.
Key skills:
- Be data-driven, with a strong understanding of all aspects of race car performance optimisation.
- Have a strong mechanical, automotive, or aerospace engineering degree and experience as a Race / Performance Engineer in Formula One.
- Be able to work calmly and confidently under pressure whilst maintaining excellent communication skills and confidence in your own decision-making abilities.
